Curriculum Updates
Students have begun to participate in guided reading groups and will soon be bringing home leveled reading books to practice. Please continue to read with your child for a least 15 minutes per day. Students should also be working toward memorizing the following sight words: am, have, is, little, like, my, no, see, to, the and we. In Math, students will continue to work on identifying numbers 0-20, solving addition problems using manipulatives, recognizing and creating patterns, estimating, reading graphs, locating the line of symmetry and identifying shapes. We will be learning about spiders and the traditions surrounding Thanksgiving this month.
